I was thinking it was fishy that my new 4GB sd card only held 17 pictures. Mike realized that the card wasn’t all the way in and that it was using my internal hard drive to store pictures, so the pictures (and video) I’d taken previously weren’t lost after all. Phew.

(still needs one more beaded garland strand)
